    to be fair....

I think he is very funny:-D

    made me chuckle

we have sea monkeys theyre great, one day theres loads in the plastic tank the next day theres none and we leave it a few weeks and theyre back again,we dont do anything special, theyre just sat on the windowsill!

our lass still calls me a murderer for not looking after the ones she got me................

dealextreme had them cheap - a lot cheaper than fleabay etc

We've had both and the sea monkeys are a lot easier to actually hatch than triops.

The sea monkeys even went on to have their own babies whereas the triops ate all his friends, got massive and scary looking and was eventually murdered by somebody spraying air freshener in the room.

If you email the company you buy from they will send you free replacement eggs in the post if they don't hatch.

We have a Triop set here which my son was given as a present in July, just haven't got round to trying to hatch them

    Might not bother now lol

why not just get a gold fish

when i was a kid i always remember being amazed everytime i went to my grandpas house as his water butt had strange worm like swimming things in it,im now wondering if they were something similar to sea monkeys??

Bought some sea monkeys years ago thinking it was just a big joke and would try it for a laugh, next day there was about 10 tiny tiny tiny little things swimming about and they got bigger by the day and went on breeding for about 10 generations over about 18month til they died out, they are a good laugh, like tiny little shrimps, they fight and play together

cos they are far more fun for children, they can see them grow into a little community and breed, i had an alpha male he was way bigger than the rest so he got a little harem of his own

my son had a triop kit in March. that hasn't got opened either. yuck! makes a cold shiver go down my spine.

The kids had triops last year, they take a lot of looking after but they hatched with no probs, quite spooky looking things really...
