Depends on the airline but that should be fine from my experience, most airlines let you have up to 20kg per passenger, and no one piece of luggage over 35kg.

You usually get an extra 10kg if you are travelling with an infant.

Check on the website of the airline you are travelling with.

    and yes you can

Every airline is different - so you will need to google your carrier to check!! Many only allow 15kg on charter flights these days

Shoes are Ok in hand luggage - but don't forget that handluggage is usually restricted to one piece (INCLUDING handbag etc) and also has size and weight restrictions. There are VERY strict rules on carriying liquids and creams in handluggae.

    Thanks Jo repped

no probs, enjoy your trip

30KG is max and normally you have to upgrade seat to get that and some airlines is now down to 15kg average 20kg
Please check it will be on ticket/ booking info or check airline web site direct.:thumbsup:
    5KG luggage

    Who you flying with??

A lot of charter and nearly all budget are now at 15kg and you have to pay more to upgrade to 20 and beyond.. most schedueled however are around 23kg.

And no frills airlines charge to book in luggage. Im flying thomas cook ans its 15kg but free 5kg extra per adult on my holiday. Normally £15 per person. Plus 5kg hand luggage

To get baby allowance i have to phone n request from airline been trying since saturday to get thru.

First choice and Thomson airlines allow babies 10kg plus 5kg hand luggage as standard

Let me have your flight number when u find it and I'll check allowances for you

    dcx_badass;5980008

Jet2 is a budget airline and still have 22kg.

Some are still left, but it's becoming increasingly common to charge extra.

Jet2 have now started retro-fitting winglets on their 752's though - they look nice.

Where are you flying from/to and when?

That'll give me a good idea of where to look

Or perhaps you haven't got that info either aha.

Likely to be one of Thomson Airways (TOM), Easyjet (EZY), Monarch (MON / ZB), Jet2 (LS) or Thomas Cook (TCX).

Or Kiss (and could be Heraklion or Chania airports in Crete too!!)
All of which have different baggage allowances...........................................

come back when you have the full info and will happily check fr you

Easyjet you have to pay to put any luggage in the hold, I believe all the others would give you at least 20kg.

    Basic Hold Luggage Goes..

    TOM - 20kg
    TCX - 20kg
    MON / ZB - 20kg
    LS - 22kg
    EZY - 20kg

    Easyjet 20kg, Ryanair 15kg and BMIBaby 18kg.

    They all vary.

Different passengers on the same charter airline can have different baggage allowances deoending which tour operator they are booked with, or whether flight only etc - so always good to check

If you know roughly what time you are flying and to which Crete airport (Chania or Heraklion) I may be able to work out your airline - but even that may not be conclusive

but easyjet and Ryanair you do have to pay to have any luggage allowance... don't get any hold luggage as standard.

This is true, some TCX tickets do state 15kg which I thought they had brought it down to myself.

I know I was just referring to the other airlines on the list that was there.. monarch etc.

Viking have loads of flights to both Heraklion and Chania tomorrow

their luggage allowance is 20 kilos per person, "may vary per tour operator" [/B])

(Excess baggage is £3 /kg if prebooked or £10/kg if you decide to risk it at check in - and that fee is ONE WAY!)

Cabin baggage-1 piece of hand baggage not to exceed 5 kilos in weight and be no greater than 56cm x 45 cm x 25 cm in dimensions

BA charge for neither luggage nor food, albeit the range of food they offer is dependent on time of day and length of flight.

Im going with first choice in september we have standard 20kg luggage, and we didnt get any extra for an infant (baby will be 1)

we had to pay to upgrade luggage to 25kgs as no way i could get away with 20kg with a baby, nappeis etc

    hand luggage 5kgs

does anyone know if my buggy comes out of my allowance or im allowed that extra?

Thomson Airways do not charge extra for them.

You'll be flying with Thomson Airways then, either on a First Choice or Thomsonfly liveried aircraft.

Most of the info should be here:- flights.thomson.co.uk/en/…tml

Never ever had a buggy taken into account for baggage allowance and I've flown loads with one

No, buggies are free but you must walk them to the aircraft with most companies and leave them at the steps.
Sorry Emasu its excess baggage at £90 that made the headlines, but they have announced (29th july) no more meals on short haul flights, only breakfast on earlies.......drinks still free but no sandwiches or hot food.
    No food for sale either.
