They are not supposed to take money at door. You've been robbed

I must admit I have never heard of a postman taking the customs charge either! Very odd!!

Leaving a card to tell you that you have a parcel to collect and then they sting you at sorting office fair enough. I do hope they got a receipt though.

Not heard of CDWow custom charges for a very long time.
Didn't know anyone still used them! They were fantastic back in the day.

A friend of mine got charged at the door for customs. Seems legit enough, I reckon. And probably in their favour, since it pressures you into an immediate decisin, rather than giving you the time to consider the charge and find out ways on getting around the adminf ee.

Their unions must love this.

Bet you someone has previously gotten a good kicking which is why I was told they don't allow posties to collect at door as in risk of getting head kicked in is too high.

This seems to indicate that it is possible for them to ask for money at door

So yeah our postmen don't get given 'a kicking'.

Or a tip

How do they work out customs charges as I bought some £8 mountain bike fork seals & they came with an £11 customs charge?
