    Banned
Long story short - my little one burnt her arm in a restaurant we were dining in. As a result we now need a good personal injury lawyer

    Any recommendations?

    Not biting............

As long as its nothing serious why not just move on, crap happens, too much of this suing know due to people getting nosebleeds etc, as long as your little one is fine then don't sue them, maybe a complaint or something will do.

Not nice thing to happen Op when your out having a meal.

    Nope

Glad to see all the usual suspects are present with their "advice"

you want to elaborate more on the situation then we can see if you're are part of the whole 'sue' culture or if you actually have a case.

Was it a member of staff that intentionally threw a hot cottage pie over your kids arm?

Are you a lawyer? We have a strong case as advised by a lawyer.

    curiousity killed the cat

Most solicitors do it, go to town and ask, there are some which are personal injury specialists and they will tell you if the case is strong enough or not.

They are all the same and get the most they can, but not one of them small shops which are run my middle men!!

gonna actually bother to say what happened, I can only assume that staff in the restaurant poured something on purpose onto your child otherwise how would you have a leg to stand on. Or was your child running round the restaurant and ran into someone with hot food or something?

They must know a fair bit about that area to be able to advise thoroughly.Bossy I'd usually agree, if however the shoe were on the other foot, op would be the first to be vile as civs has pointed out. Not the nicest of posters himself, so if he can't take it, he may be nicer to others in the future, we can hope.

I can take it all right. I wouldnt dish it out if I couldnt

    Thanks for your misplaced concern

Gonna keep you guessing - due to the fact that it is irrelevant to the original question

And s/he will fight the case, but its not their area of specialism. Id rather use a specialist

ok if we're guessing then you couldn't control your child and you let them run around the restaurant causing havoc for waiters/waitresses and all those trying to enjoy their meals.

They ran into staff who had something like a jug of gravy and it went onto your childs arm and they rolled around the floor crying and you stood up and said "HEY IM GONNA SUE YOUR ASS"

You're doing a good impression of someone that can't........

    Who's concerned???

No background to case = something to hide = ambulance chasers wet dream perhaps.

Yep - so my first concern would be for the child and second would be to make sure the steps were taken to prevent another child being injured (if the accident could be prevented).

I don't think suing would even come third.....

Would do if you were a low life

what the hell is it with this country, something happens that you dont like and you sue them, little Britain more like little USA.
an apology from the owner and at the most the meal for nothing is all you should be getting if it was their fault.

    I know three good lawyers.
How did your little one come to burn her arm.
Depending on your answer, I will point you to the right lawyer.

This sue everyone culture is a joke. Last year I was at an event in London, using a portaloo and I slipped on the steel steps and broke my foot. I thought I was a bit of an idiot for not noticing it was wet as was raining. Someone came up to me and said I should sue (which I have been told almost everytime I retell the story) as there was no warning sign. Needless to say I didn't sue. Like I said I chalked this one up to my mistake not someone elses.

    Some people eh?
Live and learn. Move on OP.

p.s. do u watch jeremy kyle?

seriously do u NEED to sue the restraunt?

a few months back we were in an accident, me hubby and my 3 kids who were 6, 3 and 4 months at the time.got hit by a car who got hit by another car.... i defo got whiplash and could have argued the kids had been traumatised bla bla....but thought nah sod it, it happens! but my insurance company were all over me to get compensation! it's pathetic...the guy who caused the accident came up to me and was genuinely sorry and that was enough for me.....so if you can see money helping u out then please go for it...otherwise think twice about why you are sueing!

completely agree. So low to just run to a lawyer without taking any personal responsibility.

OP, I think it's pretty obvious that you aren't going to get the answer you were looking for.

Of course you could sue us to get us to talk.
