Pet insurance... can you recomend a company?

I just got a letter from Tesco's pet insurance who my pets are currently insured with, next years premiums will be going up by £4.50 a month, which i think is a lot ! I made no claims last year on either animal and both are only just coming up to 2 years old, so not as if they are getting really old and more likely to need veternairy treatment.

Can anyone recomend another company who has good levels of cover.

Thanks in advance.

I use esure and have had no problems, been with them 3 years, made a claim last year and it was quick and easy.

I've just gone with Marks and Spencer on my cat. It worked out about £67 for the year for Premium cover and I got £30 cashback from Quidco too.

that sounds good, i'll check that out

I have my cats with More Than and have no problems but a lot of the policies are underwritten by the same company Royal & Sun Alliance (ie M&S & More Than) if your cats have no ongoing illnesses that wouldn't be covered by a new insurer it is probably best to shop around as there is always a new policy discount and of course quidco if you use it. But as I said previously if you try to change from one company to another one under written by the same insurer they might not give you the new policy discount (this happened to me). Once your pet has an ongoing problem you need to stay with the same insurer to keep the cover and they pretty much have you over a barrel with the premiums as they know you won't leave then and loose the cover for the long term illness. Sorry if this is a bit rambling hope it makes sence, if you want any more help just ask, I have 4 cats and a dog and have used quite a few insurers!
