Petition: Prevent Donald Trump from making a State Visit to the United Kingdom

Prevent Donald Trump from making a State Visit to the United Kingdom.

Donald Trump should be allowed to enter the UK in his capacity as head of the US Government, but he should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen.

    More details
Donald Trump's well documented misogyny and vulgarity disqualifies him from being received by Her Majesty the Queen or the Prince of Wales. Therefore during the term of his presidency Donald Trump should not be invited to the United Kingdom for an official State Visit.

You like the idea of this arrogant hothead with his finger on the red button?

A pathetically worded petition that'll go nowhere.

Should stop wasting taxpayers money with stupid petitions like that. He's going to do just great, We could do with a leader like him, Someone who takes security seriously.

I don't understand why so many see the logic in possibly jeopardising the relationship between the UK and the most powerful country on the planet.

The UK is possibly going to be in a much weaker position financially, after leaving the EU and people want to tempt the guy that already threatened to withhold £700m investment from Scotland after the last petition regarding him coming to UK went to parliament to pull out of any possible trade deal between the UK and USA during his time running the country.

    shadey12

    why?

Because we must protect our British terrorists and illegal immigrants in Britain.

We don't want someone who is against them in Britain. Us Brits are spineless and prefer to appease our hate preachers, home grown terrorists and we welcome all illegals in. Lets ban Trump.

it gives the protesters in London something to moan about now they've realised brexit is happening, the rest are most probably sheep who would sign anything if their Facebook friends told them to.

One of the stupidest ideas the Government had was to create a website that allowed any old moron to create a petition.

Acting on that petition would mean financial suicide with the Americans

It is called democracy you don't like something you complain
and hope your elected representative listens

Get Trump over here! He is a legend for standing up for what something! I hope the Uk will finally grow a pair and get tough on issues and standby them!

This is getting ridiculously, i doubt that half of the people signing this petition have actually listened to a word coming from Trumps mouth, he is the elected leader of probably our best ally and should be welcomed here with open arms.

With his appointment as POTUS we are further away from war than anytime in the last few decades imho, its time the people of this country started growing a bit of backbone instead of the constant whining, if war was ever to kick off i would rather have the Yanks on our side than the precious snowflakes that seem to be growing up these days.

    Get over it snowflake

let the Queen decide who she wants to meet.
I'm sure she can call in sick again...

You're aware that this is isn't the Deals section?

As questionable as some of Trumps prior actions may be, he is elected President of USA and it's in our interest to have a good relationship with America (especially following Brexit). Surely embarrassment to the Queen would be subjective and those that would consider such a visit embarrassing already hold such judgement for Donald Trump.

As a country we've welcomed and associated with far worse people than Trump historically, and thus far he appears to hold little malice towards us. I only hope the government has more sense than to intervene on behalf of the very vocal minority.

It's a waste of democracy in this case, The money would be better going towards counter-terrorism or the NHS.

Why? The guy is a spoilt man-child who unfortunately we need to keep on side. So for the moment we need to just smile and keep him close. Whether we like it or not he is now one of the most powerful men this side of the globe, and we need to keep things friendly. We have appeased to far worse people in the past, last thing we (the uk) need is him throwing his toys out the pram and having a tantrum aimed at us. I say we all chill out for the next 4 years and just hope he doesn't do as much damage as we expect.

    Trump, Brexit and MUFC. The 3 greatest things on earth right now.:{

    Life is great.X)

Like him or loathe him, (or most sensibly fall somewhere in-between) this guy is a 'doer'. Not purely an orator playing with empty words to please the crowd du jour. Let him govern - give him time. Then, and only then, excoriate or praise him as the empirical evidence dictates.

He has spent his first week in the Oval Office signing executive orders that go some way towards acting upon the pledges he made when campaigning, and for which he was successfully elected. This must surely be seen as an encouraging and effective use of the Office of President of the United States of America, especially when compared with playing golf, dropping the mic at Gala dinners, appearing on late-night chat shows, making social media videos with the intention of 'going viral' and most certainly - dancing with Stormtroopers and 106-year-old ladies in the Oval Office.

Politics is, and should be, for grown-ups. It is about time the electorate held themselves to the same standard, and stopped these peurile petitions.

It's not Donald's "trigger" we should be worried about, It's where the immigrants that have been banned are going to flock too now they've been banned from the USA.

Yeah, most probably the UK since our government haven't got a backbone.
