seems some motion blur and older tecchnology but that was when it was 900 for 399 it will seem a far better deal.higher res than 720p and good connections good luck.

Thanks for your reply!

ebay links are not allowed.

Anyway, Philips make awesome TV's but dont buy that TV.

The TV is a bit old now, and for £50 more you can get the latest Samsung or Toshiba.

Id say this is better, it newer and sells for £500ish online:

LG 32"

You can even check the model out in Currys.

Thanks, ive just looked at the lg one but im not keen on it being all black.I liked the look of the philips one being silver and black.Would you really not recommend me buying it? whats the negatives about it? You'd really help answer my questions, thanks!

Philips stuff isn't the most reliable, make sure it has a good warranty.

Its only a years warranty with it.Ive only ever had one philips product and that was a dvd player that ive had for 5 years and paid £120 for and thats been fine.Im in two minds now! Does anyone know of any other 32" lcd with built in freeview thats worth looking at? preferably silver or silver and black please!!!

Thats a load of rubbish, it is on the same level as all the other top manufactures.

The reason Id say you shouldnt go for the Philips is because on the review it talks about motion blur - This will make things unwatchable. The set is pretty old and the 600:1 contrast is really low now.

The LG is a newer model, that is still being sold - check out the quality in Currys etc - it will be very good.

Thanks again!! Do you know of any others that are worth buying under £400 and are either silver or silver/black? im not keen on it being all black and dont mind what make it is aslong as im getting the best tv!

This one is £400 delivered after quidco.
It has built in freeview, and its brand new unlike the one from the ebay seller. All black though.

TOTALLY AGREE

I had this tv, it broke after 6 months!! Tesco gave me full refund. Sound went.. then picture went. Quality if AWFUL.... i purchased a Toshiba C3030 and it has the most amazing picture... Phillips doesnt even come close!!

Oh, and it it a COMMON problem the sound and picture going on this model!! I emailed Phillips and they are aware of it.

It seems that many Phillips owners on AV Forums wouldn't share your confidence in Phillips LCD TV's.
