    PHILLIPS CORDLESS PHONE PROBLEMS! CANT USE!... HELP!

    I have a Phillips Cordless cd240 duo phone. It was working fine at first, then it would come up saying searching all the time on the base & off it.

    I read the manual, and it said to re-set the phone, which i have done, then it said to unregister and register again on the phone.

    I did this too, and now its stuck on saying unregistered on the screen. I have tried to register it again but the same message appears. I have unplugged connection, took batteries out etc.

    I even tried the Phillips help centre. They were not not useful at all. told me to contact my provider, but i know its not them cause my internet is working fine.

    I Bought off ebay about 3 months ago, so i doubt the buyer will want to help now either.

    Its driving me up the wall. And when you call it rings out at the phones end but not mine!

    Can anyone help who has this phone, or have had a similar problem to this!

    Have you got any other wireless devices in your house such as a baby monitor or perhaps Sky digisender boxes which could be causing interference? Might be worth changing any wireless internet modems to a different channel too and re-trying the phone.

    I do have wireless connection on my laptop? do you think that may be the problem? how would i change my modem to a diff channel. im rubbish at technology lol

    Easy way to check if it's affecting the phone is to turn off the modem and try the phone, rather than changing the channel.

    Hi, i had a similar problem, my phone is a single cordless philips, i kept saying searching all the time so i emailed philips and they gave me instructions on what to do, however i think it maybe that they were showing me how to rest it which you say you have already tried(but i can search for their email if you want me to check)
    Anyway i had got it unplugged for a while and then i went one day to try it again and it started working again. Nothing had changed in the house around either times so i have no idea why it did that.
    I never have any look on cordless phones, the last 3 i have taken back to argos:?

    seen this before the internal ariel has become disloged

    Switch of power supply for about 10min..When switched on again follow instructions on handsets to register again with base.n
