why in god's name would you be bringing a phone into a shower or in the vicinity where it would get wet.

we have a shower over the bath and the phone was on the side of the bath furthest from the shower. my brothers had the shower head up high and pointing straight ahead and the water reached to my phone =( im gutted. the bfs going to think im ignoring his texts and i wont have an alarm for work in the morning

I agree with the rice idea, was on the gadget show the other week and it worked for me when I dropped mine in a pint!!

the hoover attachment worked for John on the gadget show over all other methods

will pudding rice work? also ive read that because i switched it on after it got wet that it wont work cos its short circuited. stressing right out now

just try uncooked rice it has to be dried and i did turn hubbys on also just automatic i think! but after being in the rice for about 2 days! honestly it did work again i was shocked but pleased as it was a new phone!

people have told me before that if you drop it in water then the best method is to put it straight into a container of Rice and place it in the airing cupboard. Don't turn it on for at least 10+hours, the rice should absorb any water from it. If you turn it on before, you'll just short circuit and break it.

i did turn it on. when i noticed it was wet it was ok but took the back off and battery out to dry it. it turned back on after but the screen was dodgy and now it wont come back on at all. maybe i have short circuited it.

well it only has til tuesday to sort itself out. im having to use dads phone for now but he goes away on weds so needs his phone and i cant be done without one

Hair dryer worked for me when I dropped my iPhone in the bath, patience is the key remove the battery and let it dry out, airing cupboard and rice will take a couple of days, I left mine over night then dried with a hairdryer, I Gave it a blast then let it cool, and repeated the process about 8-10 times. Good luck op.

rice usually works but seeing as you tried to turn it on you're probably ****
