I would have thought phones came with a 12 month warranty like every other electrical product on the market, however, Im not sure if this is true, I had a phone for christmas (K800i) so its about 9 months old now but its stopped working, the camera button sometimes works, sometimes doesnt, you have to press it about 5-10 times to get a photo out of it, and today the speaker packed in, people can hear me when I call them, but they cant hear me.

So, where do I stand? Its less than 12 months old, but obviously has some wear and tear on it as its not brand new and more, will they fix it/give me a new one? Or is that asking too much?

Got it from marshall ward, if anyone has an ideas?

but will they fix it ? you see hundreds of phones on ebay that have broken, lots of sony erricsons under 24 months old, why wouldnt they just get them fixed if they could?

would it be better for me to go to the seller (marshall) or straight thru sony erricson (some how?)

Your contract is with marshall ward but you will probably get it done esier and quicker direct with SE

Send it back to Marshall Ward.

When my phone packed in they refunded me, but the price had gone up for the same phone. They eventually replaced it, but intially they would only refund, and then wanted me to buy it back.

Try phoning CPW

ill just send it them back then, i spoke 2 my mate at work and he reckoned it was only 3 months with phones, and then you had to pay for repairs, as far as i know this has just packed in and he said it was only 3 months normally theyd replace it as after a years its probably been dropped so many times and its probably been broke by the user

no offence to your mate, but he is talking from his rear orifice, most are 12 months standard, Sony Ericsonn are either 24 months or 2 years cant remember which (the longer of the two anyway):oops:kidding I know they are the same)

photograph it before it goes in most phones have a water damage indicator in the battery compartment, its a small white disc about 4-5mm accross that turns pink when moisture touches it.
