Photos - where to upload to ??

My dad commented that I have taken so remarkably good photos.

is there a website where you can upload to ie for chromecast or to enter competitions... or similar - would like to venture further with this

Flicker is always a good one but these are quite professional just for fun go with instagram.

google photos. 15gb for full quality photos and unlimited for ?12mpix

more than plenty for an average joe

Consider a website such as Talk Photography where you can get some critique from established photographers, or even joining a large local camera club. You'll find the standard set by amateurs at completion/salon level very high so you can compare and get images independently judged. Obviously you are free to enter your images in any competition you like if you want.

what about a reddit subreddit dedicated to photography?

Put them on here. Someone will explain to you why they are not very good at all.
