I am refurbishing a property of mine....lucky tenants..

Now was a lookout on the cooker...bought one from Comet.installed etc...then found out it was leaking gas...called Comet was told it was a faulty unit.

Now on the lookout of another....Indesit K3G11XG

Now this is the cheapest at Pixmania.....Was thinking I remember some people had problems with this company? Is it true?

Should I? Its the cheapest place for it inc delivery!

Never had any probs with my 40" Samsung from there - in fact, it turned up a couple of days after ordering, and was delivered by my local Currys store.

Are you sure it's the cheapest place?

I just checked and with delivery KitchenScience seems cheaper by £10

isn't pixmania now part of the dixons/curry group...dsg group!!

Pixmania is part of the same group as Dixons/Currys/PCWorld.... I think they are based in France though...

Yes tiz true they are part of the DSG group..I have a trade account with them as I sell camera equipment via the Pixmania trade website.

More info courtesy of Wikipedia :

Pixmania was launched in 2000 as part of the Fotovista S.A. group of companies. Pixmania is a pan-European e-tailer of digital photographic and consumer electronic goods. It trades in 26 countries through bespoke transactional websites. While primarily focussed on e-commerce Pixmania still maintains 16 showrooms, located in Paris, Boulogne-Billancourt, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Toulouse, Rennes, London, Brussels, Milan, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon and Stockholm.

In July 2006, DSG International plc acquired a controlling 90% stake in its parent company, Fotovista. In addition to Pixmania.com, the business includes mypixmania.com (a site specialising in online digital photo processing), primashop.com (childcare equipment) and e-merchant.com (a B2B service site enabling brands and retailers to run e-commerce businesses across Europe) to name a few operating within the Fotovista Group. Unaudited management accounts for the year ended 31st March 2007 show sales of over €661 million.

In March 2007, DSG announced it had identified an "extremely sophisticated fraud" at the Parisian warehouse operations of Pixmania. They are estimated to have lost £10m worth of electronic goods. [1]
