Better than chronic diarhoeaa then.

Best eat it now...

safer to cook and eat it tommorow its only a best BEFORE date not use by

That will be suicide :giggle:

Actually, I think you'll be fine if you eat it tommorrow

as a chef one day over should be ok the shops put a date on them to cover there self

it will be fine ......

Disclaimer: i take no responsibility for any consequence of taking the above advice (c)

i always allow food to go one day over. Although not sure i would with fish. My mum in law worked in a cake factory using fresh cream making cakes for stores like m & s and it was well known that the products would be totally safe a day or two over.
In the old days i guess you would just smell it. We must throw far too much away just because of a date. Things like tinned food where it gives you about 2 years is it really suddenly going to go off one week too late.

Just dont let the cat lick it...lol...might die a horrible death then.

I.ve eaten mouldy bread before and apparently that can kill you, but i'm still here to tell the tale.

If its smells ok - eat it!

it will be fine so long as it has been stored correctly.

i was once told ''best before'' is ok to eat after but ''use by'' isnt?

"Best Before date is used as an indicator of when the product will begin to degrade from optimal quality"
"Use By date must be followed by a day or/and month which the product must be consumed by."

good to see the op has just popped out the womb and can already use a computer. good luck in surviving the rest of your life.:?

I tell ya there is a lot to be said for a good clear out :-D

if you kept it frozen then no problem.

btw tell me how you cook it because when i cook it, the edge gets burnt and the cheese in the middle remains unmelted.

Fine to cook tonight and eat tomorrow and if you don't cook it tonight I'm sure it will be safe to cook and eat tomorrow. The food doesn't hit midnight and all of a sudden decide to go bad.

I watched in horror as my friend eat a fresh cream doughnut over a week out of date.

He wasn't ill.

It depends on the shelf life of the product when i buy it, if it has a week o more, than day or two isn't going to make much difference. I will eat food a few days over, no problem, although with cream cakes i give a maximum of one day.

Just to confirm.......Best Before means that the product will be at its best and taste "perfect" if eaten upto and including this date......Use By means that the product must be eaten by this date and it is not safe to eat after this date. This is an exam question that comes up all the time in GCSE Food Technology exams!
So, in other words, it will be fine to eat today or tomorrow!???

Do you remember back in the old days when all humans used common sense and there were no one on forums to ask silly questions?

We used the sense of smell and taste to check if food was ok, not a system set up to make us throw food out and buy new. Bloody nanny state.

Just use common sense and you will be fine:thumbsup:
