That TV is LCD not Plasma.

I would go for the http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?p=179017, which was £809 delivered (or less with Quidco) from Currys not long ago.

PS Just found it cheaper, and with the pedestal at ]Digital Direct for £772.96!!!

Is this a good deal, I know its not plasma

Am I write in thinking plasma may be better option over LCD for screen this size? Or is it 6 and two 3's

There are many arguments for and against, but the general rule of thumb is if you're going big, go plasma.

thats what I heard. Also heard LCD are more likely to have bluring watching fast movements such as football.

The thought of this made me think I will go plasma.

Will phone John Lewis tomorrow I think.

Col,
What hi fi sound and vision mag did a supertest in their aug issue of 37" tellies. The Panasonic THX37PX60 came out as the winner.they rate panasonic plasmas very highly.the only criticism they had was for the sound being a bit thin, but surrround systems will sort this out if you find that to be the case.

You can get the 37" model for £763.98 delivered from electricwarehouse.co.uk and if you can stretch a bit further they do the 42" version for £846.98 delivered.

good luck in your hunt:)

Thanks for the this think this is one I am hoping to get.

42" is only 854 with table stand at mo with currys so would probably go there if cant get any joy with JL.

If i get it wall mounted how do I do this and what happens to dvd player etc lol

sorry not that clued :-)

Col

Ok,you can get the 42" panny, with wall bracket for £835.95 delivered from digitaldirect.co.uk

the panasonic comes in three flavours, ped at the end means pedestal base, cab is for cabinet and wal is for wall mounted. If you order the version ending wal you get the bracket included,so go for this if you are definitely wall mounting, saves the hassle and expense of buying one.

As for where to put your dvd player etc, that's blokes work lol,me being a girl hates wires and stuff trailing everywhere,so i would insist on a nice table or go for the cabinet so it is all hidden away;-)
