PlayStation VR - Will it sell out?

Found 24th Sep 2016
After everyone,

So I am thinking that perhaps I may pre-order a PlayStation VR headset to see what it's like, since I've owned all the others (except the Vive). Whilst I completely understand no one can really answer this question but do you think it will likely be sold out on launch day and I am wondering if they will hold their value so if I were to buy one could I possibly resell to get my money back after a little testing. Any thoughts, opinions?

Thanks in advance.

On past experiences with playstation hardware support I would say it would sell out and then after the intial burst go stagnant. Pretty much lack of 3rd party content will be the main problem. If you dump it fast enough you might make a small profit though.

I'd say it would worth a punt but I would opt for HTC VIVE over all the rest due to the massive support steam gives. Oculus rift is getting there but the vive is there now. The PS4 GFX just isn't on par with the likes of an GTX 1070. As an entry level device it isn't too bad but what I've seen of the vive so far is outstanding and I believe most people will be left wanting more with the PS VR running at 960x1080 each eye.

Yeah, I've pre-ordered it now. Managed to get it for £290 + £30 for the new camera (not a public deal) so I doubt I will lose much, I just want to try it out really.

I am guessing it will be just a little better than the DK2 but not by much. The VIVE is the one I have avoided purely because I have absolutely no space in my room to move around so can't take advantage of that. I liked the Oculus except my unit had the red tint issue and my PC really wasn't up to paying to major games - I only have a GTX 670.

DK2 is 960x1080p per eye so it's pretty much on par. I doubt it will tax the PS4 much due to the fact PS3 titles did side by side for a long time.
