i would try phoning again and stressing that it was the other persons fault that this happened, they shouldn't be able to do that. Especially considering that it was the other persons fault that they have either not sent it back or it has been lost in the mail. How much did item cost you to send? maybe it was the cost of doing that thats put them off

    this is from playtrade info....

What happens if something goes wrong?
As with any shop, occasionally something can go wrong with a customer order. The majority of problems can be resolved quickly by talking to the customer. We also provide a set of tools within your PlayTrade seller account that allow you to issue refunds, respond to customers, view sales history, and confirm dispatch of the products, basically all of the tools you need to see the sale through from start to finish.

how do they expect you to do that if they are not giving you contact details?!

i know. they wont give me the email address so there is nothing i can do:x

Did you get proof of postage when you sent it? Surely you can contact paypal and ask them to check with the buyer if they did also. If they have proof of postage, you can raise a dispute with royal mail against it (for loss). If not, I'd be talking to paypal and asking for them to intervein. After all thats why you pay then their heavy fees.
