    PlayTV and Wireless Sender/Receiver

I posted a question on the cex playtv deal but got nothing back. The only aerial socket i have is downstairs (we have virgin cable for the tv in the lounge) and was wondering if there are any issues with using a wireless sender so i can have freeview (using the playtv) on the tv in my room upstairs (with the ps3), will I still be able to record etc on my ps3? Also can anyone recommend a good wireless sender!? my bro mite be giving me one, but would be handy to know whats out there just in case he feels mean!

You can't do this. A wireless sender doesn't transmit all the analogue data which travels over the Coaxial cable (even though its digital tv). The only way would be to have the PS3 downstairs and use the wireless sender to send that picture, but obviously you might struggle with the PS3 not having the required connection.

    dam :x but thanks!

I got an ariel & stuck it in the attic above my bedroom, just droped the cable straight down & into the back of the tv. Brilliant picture & dead easy

Reading the OP seems like you are just after freeview being sent to your other room?
I know Nothing at all about PS3's but sender wise:
tried Tescos Technika -orwhatever few yrs back and it has a sweet spot. But a hard sweetspot to find. Not recommended.
Currently using DG180-s X-Sender from Argos (last yr I think)..pretty good picture but does get interference from 02 Wireless Box (rolling bar and clicks on recieving TV). Turn the wireless box off when watching sent signal.

does this one look any good (play.com £17.99) ]http//ww…tml

    or this at argos ]http//ww…htm

Surely though if you do this, you're going to have to go downstairs whenever you want to change over. Wouldnt it be better to do as I suggested & have your own ariel & freeview box?

To be honest steve I don't know what 'tech specs' equate 'a good picture and sound'. I've only told you about my personal experiences.

Just been looking around for you and I think this is what I have as far as the body of the appliances look like, also the desc rings a few bells

EDIT: Yep you have got the one there.

Ah youve updated and found the right one...yes thats what I have.

The reciever also sends the sig from your RC (eg in my case freee to air Eurosport sat sys) up to the sender which gives out the same sig (IR) to triger my sat box to change channel / vol adj.

Gonna go now RSI of hand making this painful.
