Please can anyone explain these university fees increases to me?

Found 23rd Jan 2011
Afternoon all.

I know the Uni course fees are going up in 2012, but if I start a 3 year course this year, will I have to pay the increased fees for the 2nd and 3rd year or is it only those who are starting their 1st year in 2012?

I sincerely hope it's the latter but highly suspect it will be the first option LOL!

Thank yous x

Ooh, really? So, if I wanna do it I need to go for it, eh?
Thanks for replying - please forgive my ignorance but if my course fees are stated as £3250 or something, is that for the whole 3 years or do I pay that for each year (x 3)?

That's per year.

Shut up!

Your OP doesn't make sense, you say

1. Pay reduced fees one year then increased for two
2. Pay reduced fees all the way through

and then you sincerely hope it is the first option?

The uni fees won't affect my kids, because I'll make sure I lose my job and the wife's. Then I'll spend all our savings/money launder it

Sounds like a plan...

although I would suggest looking into if the open uni do the course you want to do, as their yearly fees are less than £1000

The deadline for applications has passed for 2011 entry now anyway I think.

You can apply up till 30th June but the application won't be treated as equally as those that were submitted before 15th January

Thanks for replying but it's not

Am probably wrong - but have been told that some universities will charge all students the increased fee when it comes in, even if they are second or third years?
