    Please help Paypal

I recently sold two Radiohead concert tickets on Ebay at cost price which the buyer paid for and sent them so they arrived before the concert (obviously). But after the gig the buyer has said he did not recieve the tickets. Two weeks later the case has been decided in my buyers favour. How????, I am devestated as I needed the £100 for my little boys nintendo ds he wanted for his birthday. Can anybody tell me a way I can get this sorted or why it would have been decided against me. The buyer is even no longer registered with ebay, I provided the tracking number which clearly states on royal mail the tickets did arrive. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

not sure you will be able to win. you can try ringing them on their number and ask to speak to somebody but paypal suck at stuff like this im afraid

The tickets can be tracked by the issuing supplier.......they usually scan them in don't they at the venue ? Never trust EBAY I'm afraid.

    How did you send them?
You have to prove that the seller received them.
Not sure how concert tickets stand with the royal mail but if paypal won't pay out try a claim with them. If sent by special delivery you may be covered for the total cost, recorded would only be the same as first or second class which is the price of the stamp in £s.

The buyer would just argue though that it must have been someone been that used them

I'd go round there myself it was me

If you have a Paypal Business or Premier Account you can claim the money back under their seller protection policy, I have done this on a couple of occasions after Paypal gave the money back to the customer.

thats the trouble with paypal even if you do have trackable means(post) you are not 100% guaranteed to be covered, its a joke, its a buyers best friend is paypal, give me a cheque any day,

Did you not send the tickets via recorded delivery?

    name and shame them....

Same happened to me a while back with a guitar...Sold it,31 days later ( did you know buyers have 45 days to make a claim!!) buyer contacted Evilbay/PayPal said it was faulty. Paypal decided in buyers favor. I had already received payment and there was nothing wrong with the guitar. So I canceled my direct debit payment and took all my money out of my bank account (it was a seperate one I set up just for evilbay & PP) I now owe PP nearly £200 which I have told them they are not getting. It's a bit of hassle, but just set up another bank account from your main one,and set up a new evilbay/paypal account. You can still buy and sell stuff. I take it you already received the payment for the tickets? Have PP been able and been in and taken the money back already? Have they just went in and took it out of your PP or bank account already? If not,do what I did. You shouldn't have too do that.,but there is now way I am letting someone buy,or use my stuff and then decide that they want a refund, contact PP and get their money back,no way!

I did send them recorded delivery and when you put in the code on the Royal Mail website it says the tickets were delivered from there office on the day before the gig. I would go and get the money or knock on his door but its a three hour drive, so would probably spend more on petrol getting there.

I had a problem with paypal after my claim was decided in the sellers favour, I just send paypal a couple of nasty emails saying i wanted the claim reopening and they did, eventually it was decided in my favour after they reviewed it.
