For the past 2 days now Im getting mailer demons in my inbox on aol account, then when I look in sent box it says Ive sent these weird (chinese or something) emails but I havent. How has someone got into my aol account, what does this mean and how can I stop them?
We have avg running and this hasnt picked up anything major, also aol is supposed to run some sort of protection too.
The emails are going to;
[email protected]wanbo888.com
BCC: [email protected]wandonfloor.com, [email protected]wangdefu.com, [email protected]wangwenlin.com
[email protected]163.com
BCC: [email protected]163.com, [email protected]163.com, [email protected]126.com
Any help much appreciated Im a bit worried theyve totally hacked into my aol account or something???
Thank you

seems like you have a spam bot.

Change your password and don't ever enter your email password on any other application/website if you're ever asked (just incase you have!)

What do I do about this then?

I never enter my aol password cos its saved on my pc. I will change it though. Also have never entered it when asked.
Also I have had 2 emails from bogus AOL, saying my billing details need changing, although OH has main AOL email not me, I just spammed these never clicked the links. Not sure if its linked though.

Maybe your OH has clicked on something, not realising it wasn't a genuine e mail? Hopefully just changing the password, having a precautionary word with the OH and running a couple of other checkers as Tinkerbell suggested should do the trick. I find spybot search and destroy and Ad-aware both good (and free!)

:thumbsup: Thank you. OH hasnt clicked on anything, he never got any aol emails, cos I asked him when I got my first one. Im now downloading spy bot search and destroy and will give that a run. Hopefully this may sort it.

There is a link to click through to aol and you used to be able to 'talk' live to someone, don't know if you still can but they were great at sorting things out this way.

I have just ran spy bot search and destroy and it found a few trojans. Will wait and see if the same happens again tomorrow. If it does I will try to contact AOL, although their CS is not v good.
