Please recommend good value NAS for Plex Media server?

Was looking at the Zyxel NSA 325 but reading on the plex forums the set up looks a bit hit and miss. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

    Thank you!

Have a look for a HP microserver, n40l or n54l. or even search hotukdeals for it. tons of posts about them.

buy a gen 8. lots more power. plus stop transcoding and play back native. I use xbmc with an smb share to play back bluray on my ipad 3.

Good luck finding a Microserver N54L but if you can they are great unless you want the transcoding Plex can do. For DLNA/UPnP you shouldn't need transcoding anyway.

Not sure what else to recommend regarding the NAS' though.

I tried the Zyxel and it was a pain, there was no way to install a drive with data and use it without the device wanting to format it... I'm not a biff either!

Bought an N54L and haven't looked back, it's awesome.

Thanks, gonna have a look around for an HP, though it looks like I missed the boat on those.
