Please suggestions for blu ray player with iplayer and wifi

Hi I'm a bit confused with bluray players. I don't have a smart TV but would like player that can get iPlayer and 4od on. Returned one I got as gift as you could only get you tube. Also does a 3d bluray player work okay on non 3d TV? I would be grateful for any models that might suit. Thank you.

Maybe you could have tried pluging a cat5 cable from the back of your Internet router to blueray player and running the software update from blueray player settings. Worth looking up on Google to see what extras you get after update like Iplayer, streaming services ect. . You need a 3d compatible blueray player to play 3d movies but it will also play non 3d and standard dvd discs plus music cds. Some older blueray players will play 3d movies after the software is updated. Maybe you current tv will stream 3d over net streaming service and give you Iplayer ect if you connect to Internet and update software? Good luck

Sorry just noticed you don't have smart TV? Are you sure as never seen a 3d tv that dose not have smart feature. Our panosonic smart features were limited and never worked apart from YouTube untill I updated. Also look got a.. Now box.. for £13 may give you streaming options. Just cancel the free month trial to continue using Iplayer ect for free. I have a panosonic 3d blueray player but rarely use and sold the few discs I bought. Roku box are also very good and may do what you want

Yes you can use a 3D player with a non 3D TV and most makers have a BluRay player that has what you want just a matter of looking.....and it depends on what you want to spend and depends on if you want the same make as your TV and depends....

They don't have a 3D TV either. Just buy a blu-ray player which states it has wifi and bbc iplayer.

Thank you.

If you are looking for something to get iplayer and 4oD but didn't necessarily want a bluray player then you could buy what I bought when I ditched sky. I bought a talk talk youview box on Ebay. It's a HUAWEI DN370T or DN372t. Basically it's a digital set top box with twin tuners and a 320gb hard driver for recording. It has Youview so you can windback the tv guide upto 7 days for catch up on certain channels plus it has the following players

BBC iplayer
ITV player
4oD
Demand 5
S4C
Quest
UKTV Play
Now TV

I paid £60 for mine brand new. You can get them second hand for about £40. Gives you an alternative to bluray. You will need to connect this to your router via an adapter if your router is not close by.
