    Plusnet mobile porting issues

    Plusnet are having problems porting phone numbers over, my old sim and number went dead 24hrs ago, customer services saying it will take another 2 days !!!!

    AVOID if you want to keep your number active !!

    Had an issue with mine. Did you provide PAC code at the time of application? I did and they said it was 'too early' so they reprocessed it (albeit it took 1-2 working days) and it worked. Once its ported though I'm getting great reception and fast mobile bband...waaay better than what I was getting with Three.

    Hmm, I had my SIM on Friday night and popped it in, and immediately texted the port request per the instructions. By Tuesday I had my number sorted, not unreasonable since it'd been the weekend.

    Also getting great speeds, but then this is the first time I've had 4G access, so.. Reception is greatly improved though, too.

    ​theres hope yet I suppose ,

    As a general rule avoid a port day that doesn't have a working day after it, I always opt for a Tuesday to allow time to deal with the networks /syniverse

    Still no show of my old number thats 2 days now without it.. thanks plusnet , i wont be recommending you now ..

    at what point do i ask plusnet for a pac code so i can go else where ?

    day 3 off line , I hate plusnet at the moment, they can't give me a date when the transfer will happen, have written to watchdog, what a bunch of Muppets !!

    I have been 3 days off line to, custom service is zero said a ring back from manger is 48hr what a joke .. if this every gets sorted will change again

    Good stuff. I will note that I never received the confirmation text from them to say the port had been done, I just checked it on Tuesday and it had worked. But that's the only bad thing I can say about my personal experience.

    I had the same problem with Life the company that was rebranded plus net, 3 sims two with issues, reading up about it it seems there can be issues porting to any company, life gave refunds to two of the sims in the end as a gesture. Moved sims three times and most of the companies we have moved to have managed to do it in a few hours and one we didn't even notice the downtime.

    Was due to go back to them this week but by the sounds of it I was lucky the dim didn't come in time, saying that they have cancelled my order but not expecting that to go smoothly.
