For those of you expecting to be able to use your phone as from tomorrow in the EU beware you may still be charged. Not everyone's will be switched over on the day it can happen at any time between the 15th and 30th June wonder if this applies to other mobile operators

Spoke to customer services even they thought it was all happening on the day

Do you have to register for roam from home before they'll initiate it or is it automatic (eventually)

    Should be automatically

if they don't do it for everyone on the 15th they will be in breach of the EU regulation

If you read the t&c that they sent out in their email it mentions the dates

    Thanks mate

My parents go away tomorrow and plusnet can't/won't confirm whether or not they'll be charged for calls/data/text from Greece. Told them they are in breach of EU regulation, they said nothing they can do as it will take until 30th to turn on roaming for all customers. This hasn't just sneaked up on them, we've known this was going to happen for months.

The text message they send out yesterday indicates that if you are going abroad before 30th they would switch it on sooner when I phoned them yesterday morning and complained as I was also going abroad Friday they send an email to their tech department and I got an email yesterday evening stating I would be ready to go today so get your parents to ring up on 500 from their phone

I done that for them. The agent (Gemma) was unable to confirm whether or not they'd be charged whilst in Kos. Plusnet just chancing their arm, they've known this was coming for over a year.

This is the part of the reply I got from the CEOS office.
"...I can give you a quick overview of the new service, Roam Like At Home. This service is where you will be able to use the UK plan in the designated EU countries and other countries that have agreed to this service. If our customer's have their Roaming services already turned on, then the new Roam Like At Home services will automatically be turned. However, if the service is off and we turn it on today, then the Roam Like At Home services will turn on by the 30 June 2017."

This is part of what I got back
I've been advised by my colleague Martin that you wished to have some confirmation on our Roam Like at Home service. As your International and Roaming access are already active on your account this means that the service will be active from tomorrow for you.
