Now that the contract is with DHL, McDonald's will probably find themselves inundated with chicken that should have been delivered to KFC.

I did a project with a 999 call centre, and was gobsmacked at the sheer number of morons ringing in with at best, first world problems such as a chipped finger nails, burnt dinners and the local kebab house wouldn't give them any more chilli sauce.

I did suggest that as soon as they detected a moron, they could switch to a chargeable model of £1 per second but apparently they cant do that just in case they miss a genuine call.

A very hefty fine would suffice and a large billboard campaign to let people know about the hefty fine.
Just apply a charge to the Mobile Bill they use, or deduct the money from their benefits or parents benefits.
They'll only do it once.
Go Nandos or local chicken cottage etc.

Why because I worked on a public sector gig? or the fact that many people misuse the 999 service?

Making an example of a few would be a start, I was told there was a number of 'frequent flyers' would ring 999 numerous times a day with spurious reasons, I liked the immediacy of billing the phone account direct, as I suspect many would struggle with a large fine and the bureaucracy would cost more than the revenue raised.

Just generally hard to believe.
How would the conversation go ...

Hi police please I'm starving and kfc is closed please send backup

sadly the public don't have much common sense putting it nicely, plenty of stories out there of the things the centres have to deal with, and often by the same people even telling the handler the wrong information just to get the responders there

Police need more public funds to answer calls from idiots who think KFC is a human right, somebody call the EU and UN to step in.

They won't starve, they could always take a pause.

Glad to see you had the foresight to put that 2nd pic up.
Why are people ringing 999 about KFC? It's clearly an Army issue.
Maybe Europoltry

Tower Hamlets Metropolitan Police Service tweeted: “Please do not contact us about the #KFCCrisis - it is not a police matter if your favourite eatery is not serving the menu that you desire.”

Clearly some of the geniuses who live in Tower Hamlets called 999 about the KFC shortage,

That's an expensive waste of public resources, if you're not a taxpayer that one is for free.

Oh right sorry, story is real because it sounds so fake. Like fakeX.
Common Sense is no longer common - in fact it's as rare as a KFC restaurant that's still open..............

Tower Hamlets - can't see why they would run out of chicken considering they are all Halal restaurants and have their
goods delivered directly from the local slaughterhouse ( and there is a rumour it's in the back garden of one of
the local councillors ).

DHL tried delivering my common sense, but I was at KFC the whole time.

Love it!!!!!
If you phone 999 about the KFC shortage, you are an absolute helmut and you really should revalute your life.

Police should be grateful that people are ringing up about kfc, if they think it’s acceptable they should be locked up, the fact that they are calling them and effectively handing themselves on.
