portugal in may? weather and transport help please

hey all, im off to portugal in 5 weeks - went last year but in august - was very hot, i would like to know what to expect weather wise for end of may/beg june, will be pool weather yes? lol

also last year we were picked up from the airport but this year have to make our own way, from faro airport to castelo, albufeira, can anyone give me an idea of how much this might cost?

    thank you

I've been to the Algarve in May and it was nice and sunny.

However, the sea was bloody freezing, as it's the Atlantic, and unlike the Med', it takes a bit of warming up.

thank you both, v2 i had seen that, but was also hoping for personal opinions, shambolic - wwe have our own pool at the villa but will be visiting the beach

My workmate who sits beside me is Portuguese and from the Algarve originally.
He says the weather is normally very good in May. He says the temp is normally around 22 degrees (average)in May and is normally dry with April being their wetter season.
So should be pretty good weather hopefully
Been told theres a bus link to albufeira from the airport. Icluded is a link. Got a portuguese link and it says 8.40 euros return (ida/volta)
    faroairporttransfers.com/
    eva-bus.com/hom…=Ok
Either this or taxi. 35 euros one way

I just found the water cold, even in our pool.

Apart from that, you should have a great holiday?

Just to add, a little chilly in the evenings, not cold enough for a jacket but need something with sleeves for after dark.

I go over a couple of times every year. May weather is always around the low to mid 20's. I would like to point you to a forum that I have always used before going on my travels.

    Hope it helps you
