Possible Profit on reduced Items

Went into my local tesco and they had ready meals reduced from £4.00 to 40p. They had an offer on buy 2 save a pound. Usually reduced items have the offers taken off but these went through with the £1 taken off, so I expect this would be the same for all items reduced with offers on.

Most probably I get this sort of thing all the time at my local co-op where there are other offers on reduced stuff best one was about 30 packs of meatballs that eorked out as they where paying us about 50p per pack, had to then buy other stuff to take total over -£15 and into a positive figure as im sure they wouldnt have given me money from the till too! I think in the end i ended up with 30 packs meatballs a litre of spirits and paid about £2!!!

No, they usually cancel the offer but sometimes they forget. Sainsburys on the other hand hardly ever caqncel the offer.

Sh!te way to earn a living though

The offer for Coke Plus gives a 40p credit at Tesco as they're currently priced at 2.09, with a 2.49 voucher.

Sounds good, but it usually happens when you are only buying a few items and then they notice it and take it off. Better when it goes unnoticed, then it helps the consumer

Yes!

I witnessed a verbal fight over reduced food at sainsburys the other day. I thought the 2 people were joking at first but they were serious i could'nt believe my ears:w00t:

The best way to capitalise on this is to visit your local supermarket at the end of the day. Thay way any reductions will be because of expiring display until dates, and therefore will be store specific - this way any current running promotions will almost certainly still be active at the tills.

For example two packs of chicken thighs the other day at Waitrose where buy 2 for £10, reduced to 1.50 each- I got some expensive chocolates aswell and paid about 2 quid.
