Have heard rumours the post strike is possibly over, with an agreement being reached, but as I don't have tv or radio here can anyone confirm if its true?

They are close to an agreement.

A third round of postal strikes may be avoided, union sources have told the BBC.

The sources said a possible deal was on the table. Royal Mail is not commenting on the speculation.

The latest planned industrial action, scheduled for Friday and Monday, would be more disruptive than previous rounds as it would be an all-out strike.

At the heart of the dispute is the deal that the two sides signed to end the last national strike.

Thursday's meeting includes the Communication Worker's Postal Executive - the union body that has the power to call off strikes. A statement is expected later. Even if the strike is called off, it does not mean that the dispute has been resolved.

who the bosses or the staff or the union?do you know why they are … who the bosses or the staff or the union?do you know why they are striking?

Like most people (cause it's very cloak and dagger and a micture of 'he said/she said') I don't know the exact details but it's something along the lines of modernisation. Change frightens people and it hasn't been particularly well handled...

I'm not sure who's doing the theiving or I'd have reported them to the police but in the last 2 months I've had 6 xbox games and a couple of magazines go 'missing' so somebody's lining their pockets at my (and GAME/play/Hmv's) expense...

My Birthday was slap in the middle of the strikes and of the two cards that came in the post (rather than in person) one was ripped open and the other one (with money in) never arrived.

Bleeding temporary staff. :x

Another 3 games missing somewhere in the ether as of today... Thank you Royal Mail!

Hope you enjoy playing my GTA Tales of Liberty City while I wait for the replacement...
