Postage estimator site?

Found 29th Sep 2013
Hi Guys -

Sold a small snooker cue on ebay which i now need to send via post.
I gave free postage on the item.......and im now thinking this could be a mistake.

Package is 93cm long and 15cm wide and weighs 1.4kg.
Ive tried looking on the internet and it tells me Royal Mail only do "Medium Parcels " upto 61cm x 46cm.

Are there any options to send it via the Post Office at a reasonable price??

ps this is the site i have used to attempt to calculate the cost.

postal-calculator.co.uk/
For bigger than medium parcels i guess the post office use parcelforce so your looking about £9.50

Use a courior will be cheaper, and they will collect from your door or you can drop off.

One option
myhermes.co.uk/wps…ge/

£4.20 inc vat

parcel2go.com, parcelmonkey.co.uk/ipostparcels.com/

will have other options

Myhermes would probably be your best bet as mrwhitelabel said.
Personally use them a lot and not had any issues (unlike collect+ unfortunately!)
What would the postage compare to say Royal Mail - as i cant even find the service Royal Mail would use!?
As I said the post office would send it parcel force as that's too big for a postman to deliver with royal mail
Try parcel monkey I've used them a lot in the past, not recently mind you.
Ouch - just checked and Parcel force price would be £9.97 plus vat
Lesson learnt, before offering free postage, check the cost before.
What were you expecting it to roughly cost when you decided to offer it free ?
roughly i thought it would be around £4 to £5 as its fairly lightweight at only 1.4kg .......however because its 93cm it falls out of the medium parcel range that Royal Mail offer

Hi there - i have just registered as you recommend with my hermes.

This will sound silly but i dont have a printer - so i normally handwrite my labels.
Will they print off a postage thing at the drop off centre?
