Posting abroad (lithuania) is it safe with royal mail signed for?

Hi, ive got an iphone 4 for sale on fleabay, a potential buyer has requested if i would ship to lithuania, what i need to know is it safe to send an expensive item £400+ abroad, i know its supposed insured, but how safe is the package once its left royal mails hands?, the service would be International Signed For Small Packets at a cost of £14-17 quid, anyone have any experience/woes of shipping to lithuania etc lol

Scam. Can't track it outside of UK.

Do a little search on here for various EU countries...

44 feedback 100% positive his feedback mainly from u.s though.

it will never arrive and you will lose out....never worth the risk

I've sold all over the world on ebay includnig Russia and Eastern Europe, although that was mainly motorbike parts and clothes - not the sort of thing scam artists go for.

It's probably not a scam and if you followed RM's guidelines you'd be insured but you've got to decide if it's worth it. It would be a hassle having to cliam and you wouldn't see you're money for a while.

My advice would be to opt for UK only when it comes to phones.

Nope, don't do it.
You should make it UK only.

if it was a £4 item i would say go for it...dont care how many fback he has dont do it.

Just DON'T do it. There will be plenty of UK buyers. DO NOT DO IT, I REPEAT DO NOT.

Never mind his feedback or anything else, it's not worth the risk of getting it to Lithuania and getting a signature for it, sell to a UK buyer.

im gunna give it a miss, cheers for the extra negativity i already had about sending it, just needed more info regarding international shipping, believe it or not im a postie lol so should know more!

can i have your bank details and pin number as you have won the lottery and i need your bank details to pay it in to your account, but i do need a deposit of £5000 before you get your winnings

wait until the money clears, via paypal ie take the cash out then once you have the cash in your hand post the item

And then when they claim it wasn't received, paypal refund the money to the buyer and you have to claim from RM (if that's even possible)

That's some bad advice right there.

scamm.comer!!

Hahahaha... erm... no...I would draw the line at a second hand computer game!

It will still wreck your paypal account, when this guy claims a non received item.

Not worth the aggro mate.

Ask him to pay by western union!

Haha +1... like it... Don't think he will go for it though

The max you can claim for any mobile phone sent abroad by Royal Mail is £41 even with International Signed for or Airsure.

I would only send within the Uk. Too much potential for a scam. I'm not saying this buyer is...
