Mine is 10am prompt, normally.

If the regular one is on hols/sick etc.. sometimes a bit later or earlier.

as the times of royal mail jobs have been pushed back to later times then you are bound to get your post later! our office starts there rounds at 9-9.30 so if your getting it at 11 then i think your doing ok. I dont see how you can complain about something that costs so little! If your a business then you should get your mail by 10.30 not that bad is it with the working day starting at 9

yes still waiting for mine at 11.28 :x

No but surely it would make sense for people to have their post before they go to work.

7.30 on my day off :(((
still not complaining

my postie has tourettes so i darent ask him why he delivers late

i remember when i lived at home, i picked the post up from the floor when i came down for breakfast before school! now it doesnt come until about 3pm!

I think thats an "extra" that you have to pay for :-D

Mine is usually between 12 and 2.30 now.

I asked one of the posties and she said that they go to the area with the most signed-for letters first...

:giggle:, mine's a bank robber in the afternoon :w00t:

why does it matter if you get your post before you go to work?! just open it when you get back! if everyone wanted it before work then we would be delivering to early to everyone then wouldnt we!! cant please everyone!

It does depend on what part of the round you live on, if you live at the end of a rural round then you prob wont get your post till 2/3 f you live on the end of a town round the latest you should get it is 1/2 pm

its alrite! .. i dont have any complaints really, always got my mail.. and parcels in good time
and our postman is always nice..

It amuses me to see the amount of angry faces in this thread. For two reasons.

First, is that my post usually comes between 7:50 and 8:30am. Second, is that me not being a ***, I can understand the difference between a postman walking several miles delivering mail in sequence to all the houses over the course of a five hour shift, and quantumn physics. With quantumn physics, the postman will be everywhere at once, making 8am deliveries for everyone. With postmen, they just have to spread delivery times out linearly over a period of, say, between 7am and 12pm. Only one of these delivery methods has yet been harnessed by the Royal Mail.

I never pay for next day special delivery by 9am or 1pm, so I would never expect them to delivered before a certain time of day...

Mine is normally between 10-12 with the exception of last monday, had no post at all despite my flatmate waiting for a "missing" bank card, my mum sent a birthday card which went "missing" bank sent me a pin code which went "missing"

Everything sent from different parts of the country on the Saturday never arrived but everything sent the Friday which arrived Saturday ok and monday onwards was ok.

Saying that though am waiting for 3 boxsets sent from uk last Monday and none have arrived.

edjaned;2685536

it obvioulsy depends where on his route you are. people forget that when a postman starts his delivery then some are going to get their mail first nice and early in the morn, however the size of the delivery route may mean that some people arent gonna get them til last which may be 2pm at the end of his route, simple logistics innit

Haven't you moved recently?

umm of course i am, but i do understand that the whole network does not always work and parcels do go missing etc  but as dxx wrote it takes a town round 3/4 hours to walk round and a rural even more so we cant deliver the whole round at 8:30 can we! if we had to deliver it all before 9am then i would have to start at 5:45. its not going to happen. I was just relaying the reason why it happens

Yeah but back to somewhere I lived before. I stayed here from August last year till Feburary and moved back at end of June

since the last postal pay deal, my local postman HAS to start his round at 9am instead of his preffered 6am, that way he finishes At 4pm rather than his preffered 1pm.
this makes my post 3 hours later than i used to get it,and as an added bonus all those annoying leaflets that causes extra weight in the postie's 20 kilo sack which he used to get a penny each for delivering ,he now has to do for free and we don't even read them.
I'm not a postman, i just asked mine, she didn't mind standing in the rain to tell me about, but on the upside i dont get woken up at 8.30 in the morning now, so i'm happy
