Potentially free AA breakdown cover through Topcashback
Posted 29th Feb 2020
Was just shopping around for breakdown cover & noticed that TopCashback are offering £102.01 cash back for policies over £101. Tracking isn’t guaranteed, as always, but could be worth a look if you need cover.
The rate did display incorrectly. It should have been £50.
However, fair play is at the heart of what we do and so we have decided to honour this rate from our own pockets for those who took part in this cashback rate.
We are pleased to be able to offer the best solution for you.

Using the g word on a Saturday evening, oh dear . . .
Good spot, but this is never paying out and you’ll be stuck with £102 breakdown cover
Yeah, good spot but unfortunately TCB will only ever pay out the amount they receive from the company.
Probably won't pay out once they realise, worth a try eh.
Me thinks it's supposed to be £62.

Good spot!
I spotted something similar with insurance a few years back. Worked fine.
Woot! a glitch!? well spotted OP, heated
Heat added but unlikely get paid
This deal went crazy hot in less than 5mins
nah i'll pass. don't fancy being out of £100 odd if cashback doesn't pay out
Considering the TCB was £106 yesterday (28 Feb) then a reduction to £102 tonight (late eve 29 Feb) prior to drop to current £52, the adjustments in amounts appear intentional not erroneous. Archive of £106.05 on morning of 28 Feb 2020: archive.is/Bjx1Q

Why is everyone saying TCB don't pay out? And Quidco? Hahaha, people were saying the opposite last year. (edited)

Funny how you throw out the term 'fair play' when it suits in front of an audience.
I got a £100 cashback turned down a couple years ago for no reason - you then hid behind the following despite me using a separate browser for cashback and always clearing cookies...
'In relation to who has been seen as the last referrer, due to confidentiality between the retailer and the agency they have not passed us the information of who has been seen as the last referrer.'
Strange how fair play wasn't mentioned here. Policy expert clearly declined the CB because the payout was higher than the policy price (£100 payout versus a £90odd policy), yet TCB did nothing to help me, nor did they pay out their own pockets, which would have been 'fair play'. Instead I was sent patronising messages telling me to clear cookies next time.

What do you mean 53 of them on shpock?
Probably selling them.
Not a good one then
Maybe if you buy with a forward date to see if it tracks at the right amount and cancel if it doesn't

They do pay out, but not for pricing errors.
Damn, wish I'd gone for it now!
