    Poundland and VAT changes

if VAT is changing to 15% does that mean Pounland will now have to be called 95p-land - and do you think they will even change their price?

fireexit, before asking such a question i would suggest that you brush up your maths - or how do you arrive at 95p respectively 94p?

You dont start with the full price and minus 15%.

You need to begin at what the price is that has not already had VAT included.

Eg -...a product priced in a store at £115 means that the product was £100 and had 15% tax put on.

Your method suggests you should take 15% from £115 = £97.75.

Surely it would be 97.9pence stores?!

    whatever
