Power supply for BT Youview DTR-T4000 / DTR-t2100

I'm trying to source a cheap but official replacement power supply for the above box, and apart from ebay + Amazon, including marketplace sellers from their own websites, I can't find one at a good price.
BT won't sell me one themselves.
Official ones are nearly £18.
Unofficial are about £10 - but I'd rather not get an unofficial anyway.

Anyone know a good source for an official one?

Official? Dunno, but £18 doesn't seem above norm to satisfy the feel-good perception, but £10 for alternative is a little steep.
My recollection of that PSU spec is 12V DC regulated at up to 2amps down a 5.5mm x 2.1mm (or 2.5mm, can't recall but 0.4mm unlikely to matter) barrel with centre positive. Generic but branded PSUs with that spec start from £2.50 delivered ex-UK fulfilled Amazon (Prime) and for the following example brand you will usually receive a PDF invoice directly from the UK distributor after purchase amazon.co.uk/dp/…7C6 . I suspect the power lead may be shorter than the original, maybe not.
If you want to feed your feel-good perception you can buy exactly the same branded alternative item directly from the distributor's Amazon storefront for £13.77 delivered amazon.co.uk/gp/…C6/
Suggestion based on a Yamaha keyboard PSR-41 apparently using same spec as indicated at ebay.co.uk/itm…408

Thanks for your information. The ebay link shows a picture of the connector end which is too thin and not compatible with the Youview box power input connection point as far as I can tell.
It is 12V and 2amp though, if the end connector was correct I'd be tempted to give it a try.

Strange. A listing for the genuine item states the connector barrel size as I mentioned earlier: 5.5mm x 2.5mm amazon.co.uk/dp/…PY/ and that seems plausible from the images of the rear of a box + power supply here ebay.co.uk/itm…433. The suggested £2.50 alternative item has the same size connector, quoted by the ebay item and other random sources as stated here. Maybe your machine is a pre-production prototype unit that had a non-standard bespoke barrel socket fitted to it?

Is strange, the amazon listing isn't a genuine BT power supply though, it says 'Genuine AJP Brand' whatever that means.
The genuine is this one amazon link
Anyway thanks again, I'll keep checking around, will probably have to pay the extra for the genuine one above or off ebay.

Your suggestion of "genuine" appears to have the 5.5 x 2.5mm barrel, which is what the £2.50 Amazon alternative is indicated to have. Does the barrel socket size on the rear of your box not resemble the size of the socket in the ebay pic at ebay.co.uk/itm…433 ?

Yes it does look the same on the pictures of the ebay link.
Thanks for your help on this, I've managed to find one now from a nice member on avforums, so hopefully by the start of next week I'll be up and running.
