    PREPAID CREDIT CARDS

    Anyone have experience with these?

    Can they bought in shops, what id do the require, costs involved etc,etc??

    some do charge an initial loading fee from £0 - £40 including the cost of the card. I took a prepaid mastercard on holiday in july with my holiday money on it, didnt cost me a penny so that may be your cheapest option.

    Not sure that you can, they have your name embossed on them like any DD Credit Card, so I doubt you would get one over the counter.

    Cash passport is another option for you, you can preload with any currency you wish and just use it as chip n pin mastercard etc. I have a US dollars, Euro and sterling card

    Prime prepaid cards can be purchased and used immediately at paypoint stores costs £3 on top of initial load and then % per transaction up to max of about £1.50 google prime for more info

    the o2 one is really good, think you have to apply for it online tho.
