    Prescription Goggles?

After going swimming for the first time in years last week I decided that some prescription goggles would make a massive difference!

Bit of a random topic but has anyone any experience with the different brands/models on the market. In addition, should anyone have spotted a decent deal on some then please let me know (yeah I know, not likely!)

Erm so yeah, probably a thread that's not going to get much interest but you never know!

Aye, there is mate. I knew they existed because my uncle's had some for ages and I used to take the mick when I was a kid, oh dear, now it's me!

They look to be about 15-20 quid for a entry level pair but there's a few pairs to choose from. Quite surprised really, I thought they'd be a lot more.

Was odd going swimming with somebody and only being able to pick them out when they were about 5 foot away lol

That pic, lol, looks like a raver haha

i know someone who got them fron asda opticians cost £20 reckons they should bought them years ago

Limited stock at moment but I have managed to get good deals from them in the past.

I got ones for me and my daughter from Specsavers. I don't wear mine very often but my daughter uses hers every week. They cost £19, and she is very happy with them.

Thanks mate, I might pop in there - would be good to see them first and that cost is roughly the same as the online shops

They do make a difference. I got them for my daughter from Speedo - some of them are very big and look a bit big. It is worth asking at a few local opticians as they will do different sorts and seals, try them out as some people prefer latex and others foam. These are quite good - store.speedo.com/web…385

ROFLcopter, you've just reminded me of that one :D:D Epic lulz.

To the OP - For around £20, sounds good - go for it. I think regular "proper" goggles are around £10-15 anyway, and someone mentioned Specsavers so go for it! And I've learned something today, yippee.

mmmmm prescription goggles lol ?? Im a non believer in them lol

But but I did pick up a pair of adult speedo goggles today in debhnams in Eastkilbride for £12.
