    Price-Match Success Story

Just had our 1st sucessful price-match @ Currys today, which resulted in us getting Perfect Dark Zero limited Edition for £1.70.

It just goes to show that you can use price-match to get an even better deal, especially with high-street deals that are suddenly much better value than on-line retailers.

Has anyone else used price-match policies to their advantage?

Nice work, heading to Comet to grab some games later - if they have not got them then I will goto Currys and remind them about the Price Match!

i tried this in Currys. they had Perfect Dark Zero for 9.99 and Need for Speed Carbon for 29.99.

The clerk was rude and said they don't do price matching for "Clearance" items and asked why didn't i buy it at Comet if it was 2.99?
I replied, "there is no Comet around here for miles.. and it's hardly clearance at 29.99, thats expensive". The clerk looked at me blankly.... what a rip off and it stinks of a 'get out clause' - was i told wrong by the clerk?

Here's the link to Currys price-promise.
They will price-match major retailers and doesn't have to be local.
The price-promise is the same instore, as it is online.
The person you spoke to clearly oesn't have a clue about the price-promise, doesn't matter if it's clearance or not.
Guess you now have 2 options, either to call the number and purchase for home delivery, or print the page out and take it in to staore asking to speak to the duty manager, explaining what happened yesterday, and that you're not impressed with the time / petrol you have had to waste in order to prove the price-match they should be offering.

    I will investigate. and thanks!
