Bull. The average for diesel is NOT 132.9, and both fuels are usually more expensive towards the capital.

Diesel is 138.9 here, but it's usually cheaper around here than elsewhere, since the Humber refineries ain't that far away.

yeah around a $1.40 couple of years go it was less than a $

the $ is extremely high against the usd upto 1.07 us.........fantastic stuff

op how many k's n litres did you do/waste checking out the prices needlessly?

    138.9 here in Cheadle Cheshire

I paid 1.31 at Asda in Charlton (Greenwich) yesterday, it's 1.33 in my local Morrisons in Thamesmead.

looking forward to some more updates later

    very expensive

    133 petrol / 140 diesel. £50 for 3/4 of a tank is just nasty...

People (including me) won't be able to afford £2/litre with having to drive to work etc - it will come to a head before too long and there will probably/(hopefully) be protests - not that it will make any difference...

47.9 pence a litre for Marine Gas Oil spec (low sulphur >0.2%) delivered to Liverpool Docks.

    vegetable oil it is then

    Did someone hear something?

    I thought I heard a whooosh?

Speaking of vegetable oil, I saw last week on the news someone who makes his own diesel in his shed. Pays the local chippy 10p/litre for the used oil and total cost is 30p/litre. Starts getting quite tempting.

And as for prices today, seems about the same as a week ago, £1.41 average where I am in Midlands for diesel.

There was a bloke in Tesco the other day filling his van with veg oil directly out the container, his trolley was full of the stuff

Lol, don't blame him, if they are gonna take the p with prices

1.39-1.42 up where i am and has been for the last couple of weeks

theres a conversion / modification to the engine you can do so that oil can be used as petrol - but i think you need to change the viscosity/ filter / some other change of normal cooking oil to use straight in a diesal engine .
And even so then it's only some engines that can use it

144.9 at one station for desiel near Newcastle/West Denton
    137.9 for petrol
