Printer problem advice or pls recommend good printer

Lexmark x6570. My printer just gave up- actually not gave up but when scanned or printed, the document gets a thick black line from top to bottom of the document. the line is approx 2 cms thick. i had to scan and send some insurance documents and they are not agreeing as there are black lines. other than this, it works fine. Anyone had any similar prob and have solved it or any advice will be grateful.
So i might have to get rid of this and buy a different printer. Will be looking for all in one printer- wireless with print, scan, copy and fax. any recommendation and one which is cheap.
    thanks in advance

Hi if your printer is under a year old phone technical support
    0207 3652496

    Explain something is broken

I did this last year with my old printer and they sent me a new updated printer wireless (my old one was not wireless) for nowt and asked me to dispose of the old printer sweet as a nut

Before discarding your Lexmark I would advise you to check the Scan settings again Particularly the scan attributes and whether auto crop is on or the page margins are set correctly.

For new all in one printer, I would suggest Epson.
