    Printer Re commendations

My old Canon ink jet just died. The final nail in the coffin was trying to clear a blocked nozzle with white spirit. I left it to soak and it just melted all the seals and glue in the print head. The blockage stayed put tho!

Anyway I am in the market for a budget multi-function printer. This is for home use, I would like it to print decent photographs though I don't expect miracles. Wifi and duplex print / scan would be nice too.

A deal breaker would be the ready availability of non-oem ink. My last printer I had to remove chips with a scalpel and reprogramme them. It was all a bit too much like hard work.

Hope you can help - you normally do!

Ps. If it has a foot print smaller than 47x49cm it would fit in my computer desk;)

Just my advice, avoid the new Epson range, I got a xp-235 and you can't use third party ink, they update the software and firmware all the time to block it, luckily I don't have to pay for it as I can only use genuine ink

Really like the look of the Canon MG7750. Does anyone on here have one they could run a tape measure over for me?:)
