Program that Splits long MP3 files

I have some audiobooks that are over 2 hours long per file and with my current program i can only burn them to a cd if they are 80mins or less. Is there a program where i can put a whole book on there and it will burn them at 80 mins then i just pop the next cd in and it will then burn the next 80 mins. Thanks in advance.

Ive just got that but it only seems to allow me to break the mp3s down and then put them onto the cd myself. This would be fine but at the moment thats going to take me ages to do. Is there something that i can put say 10 hours worth of audio into a program and it will just butn one disc after the other?

Any reason you want them on CD's?
Most cars have aux ports so you can just run straight off an mp3 player, phone or tablet.

Yes I have been asked for them on CD so nothing else will be of any use.

But it also depends if your cd playing device is capable of playing mp3 or just audio cds

Most up to date cd playing devices can play mp3 files but with your current software it's automatically converting your audio books to cd (wave type audio) that's why you can only fit 80mins of those types onto your cd

If you can tell us what device you will be listening (playing the cds) on we could then offer better options whereby you could create mp3 audio cds and fit many many books onto one cd

Dose you cd player have the ability to play mp3 files straight from the cd? You can get up to 12 hours playback from one 80min cd in mp3 format. If you follow... Just a thought.

The CDs are for different people, people with learning disabilities. They are allok with playing a cd, so i dont want to try teaching people about WAV files and mp3s.

You might be better converting mp3 to a wav file then splitting that In 2 ready to burn to cd? Been years since I messed with audio ripping and track splitting. Bit out of touch with that type of software now, but a quick Google of open source audio splitting software should bring up plenty of options.

use the program I suggest above to split the audiobooks into 80 minutes length
then use your cd burning software to burn the file as an audio cd that should play on most cd players
