proofooGaming pc advice please

Found 6th Jun
Hi everyone,

I've been gifted with the offer of a gaming pc for Fathers Day, maximum of £1000.

I'm a bit out of touch with recent tech, have built from scratch in the past but last couple of rigs have been off the shelf.

I play shooters and Elite Dangerous, would love to try VR but don't know if that is feasible at my price point.

Would like the best bang for my buck, don't mind either Intel or Amd, as future proof as possible with Windows 10 included as I currently run W7.

Many thanks.
