Any cases you could recommend?

I have this one:

Thrustmaster S.P.F Case

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41du3ZMgc-L._AA300_.jpg

It may be too bulky to carry around outside though. You couldn't fit it in a conventional pocket, for instance.
Tips:

Pressing the PS button and the Start button at the same time takes a screenshot.

Hold finger on screen when playing PSP games/Minis to bring up a settings menu.

Press and hold an icon on the main menu to delete or re-arrange apps (Similar to iOS devices)

Change your 'Panel' (Part of your profile that your friends can see) by navigating to Settings, PSN, Account Information, and Panel.

Change brightness quickly by holding down PS button.

Press + and - volume buttons simultaneously to mute the Vita

I'm very happy with it.
How to earn trophies in pre-owned Vita games (taken from Pocket Gamer):-

If you try and play a pre-owned PlayStation Vita game, you'll get a rather alarming message from Sony. Here's what it says:
"You cannot earn trophies in this application. Only the first player to use an application can earn trophies. To earn trophies, you must link the Sony Entertainment Network account of the first player to use this application with the PS Vita system."
At first, it sounds like a sneaky piece of digital rights management from Sony, which in one fell swoop could cut off CEX, sink eBay, and demolish the pre-owned shelf in your local GAME. Because, if you can't get shiny digital trophies in a game, what's the point in even playing?
All hope is not lost, though. It's actually quite easy to get trophy functionality back in a pre-played game, as long as you know what you're doing. Follow our guide, and you'll be racking up Platinums in no time.

Step 1
Here's the message you'll get if you try to load a pre-owned game on Vita. Sounds scary, but we'll sort it out in no time. Click 'No' to return to the system's main menu.
http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/FCKEditorFiles//psvita-howto-trophies-01.jpg

Step 2
We're going to format the pre-played card. To do that, return to the main menu (right) and touch and hold the screen for two seconds. This lets you rearrange icons, set a new background picture, and add more panes to your start screen.
Also, each icon has a little "…" bubble to the top right. This lets you see information on a game, delete unwanted demos, and, most usefully, format pre-played cards.
We're going to wipe Gameloft's goblin basher Dungeon Hunter: Alliance.
PG deputy editor Will Wilson played it before me, thus locking me out of earning trophies. Hit the "..." and click 'Delete'.
http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/FCKEditorFiles//psvita-howto-trophies-02.jpg

Step 3
Here's the screen you want to see: "All data related to this application will be deleted." This will delete any save games on the cartridge, and reset trophy privileges. Tap 'OK'.
Now, load the game again, and it will switch over to the Sony Entertainment Network account currently associated with the system. You can then earn trophies to your heart's content.
Oh, and it won't delete the previous player's trophies, so you don't have to worry about shafting the poor shmuck who sold his games to CEX.

Thanks for the trophy help, much appreciated.

does this mean that if you were to sell a game to say CEX like mentioned above that you could help someone out and wipe the previous data from your game play before selling it meaning asoon as the next person gets the game and maybe didn't know how to do this you mentioned above that hed not need to do this and he'd be ready to play the game and get the trophies straight away?

Hands up if you sold your vita within a week of getting it?

I helped sell somebody else's. Does that count?
punkstoner1

It is certainly proof that I was not the only one.

The console I mentioned was not opened by the original recipient & sold on to me; so a different case, sorry.

You need to learn to troll harder.

Hey there everybody. As announced last week, PS Vita System Software update 2.00 arrives today, paving the way for PS Plus support for the system, which rolls out tomorrrow.

However, there are a number of other changes inbound too. One of the major feature enhancements has been to the browser, with updates to display performance and general functionality. You will now also be able to Tweet a link from directly within the browser.

The 2.00 update also introduces new Content Manager features, allowing wireless content transfer between PS Vita and PC. Users will also be able to browse folders on their PC or PlayStation 3 system and copy them right onto their PS Vita.

Elsewhere, a new email app has also been added to the browser that allows users to add up to five email accounts and 5,000 contacts. On-screen notifications let PS Vita players know when they’ve received a message so you can keep in touch anywhere, anytime.

Here’s a quick summary of what you can expect to see once you’ve downloaded the update:

Web Browser

Enhanced performance of the web browser along with improved support of HTML 5 and JavaScript.
PS Vita users will have the ability to Tweet web page addresses.

Email

It’s Japan only so far but have a look and say you don’t want it.The limited edition red PS Vita comes with headphones, a cleaning cloth, case, a 4GB memory card and a wrist strap. That’ll all set you back ¥29,980, which would be about £230 if it makes it over here. The game itself is a four player co-op action horror that sees you fighting sorcerers who’ve turned into demons through over using magic. The upgrade system sees you gaining powers by sacrificing things – the size of the offering affects the amount of power you get. A tree won’t get you much but a limb might, as long as you don’t mind becoming a monster in the process.
