sainsburys have a 320gb slim with a game for £285, but i'm sure there's better deals with play/amazon etc

i actually buy blurays, so its not very good for me!

Why didn't you just upgrade the hard drive in your 160 GB model that is on eBay with, say, a 500 GB hard drive?

It may well be cheaper to buy a new hard drive than the result of the selling price of your existing console, paying eBay/PayPal fees, courier charges, & the outlay for a new model.

Sorry, I didn't realised you had a Limited Edition 160 GB "Phat" model. I'll take that back... if you can get £100-£140 for it then you'll be glad of the 12 month warranty & the lower power consumption (& reduced on-board cooling fan usage) of the 320 GB slim console.

You can still update the hard drive of either, of course... but if I was you I would upgrade to a newer console.

My (release day) 60 GB is still running & I dare not open the casing to install a large drive unit as I upset the air to dust ratio it has accumulated & stops working completely!

When it finally decides to retire from activity duty I will be buying a new slim console (but I will miss backward compatibility with PS2 titles [that I still play regularly], & the additional two USB ports). I've used the memory ports (that are no longer available) just once!

There is a new 160 GB "slim" model being offered in the "For Sale / Trade" forum at the moment. Have you seen the listing?

I think you would be very lucky to return £190 on a pre-owned 160GB "Phat" console, but you never know what eBay bidders are going to do!
