I just registered my PS3 now and I remembered that the other day when I signed up for the PlayStation Network I accidently entered the wrong DOB! Now I've registered my PS3 with one age and my PSN is another age. It's only a one year difference but it is the difference between being 17 and 18!! I'm so stupid  Does it matter that the ages are different? Will Sony do anything? Is there anyway that I can change my PSN DOB? Is there anyway I can contact Sony? Any help appreciated

Lol, I am actually worried though :-(

I was unsure at the PSN why it wasn't letting me set up an account, it was only letting me have a subaccount so I tried changing my age to 18 to see if that was the problem and it worked, but I was meant to go back and just set up an account for one of my parents and then set mine up but I forgot and now I'm worried lol

the master account can only be over 18 so maybe this one is a sub account. i think you can change the details as i changed a address on there.
go to your freinds list and press triangle on your username. then go to acount managment and try changing it from there.

Yh, thats what happened, it said I could not create an account but I wasn't fully sure why but I thought it could be as I'm 17 so I changed my birth year by one year so that I could see if it was due to the age as to why I couldn't create an account but when it got to entering the details I forgot that I gave the wrong age, so I got a master account but I'm not 18 :-( Now I've registered the PS3 with my proper age so I'm not sure if I could banned from the PSN or something by Sony for giving the wrong DOB because they'll know one of the pieces of info has to be wrong. I tried that account management but I can't change the DOB. Is there anyway I cn contact Sony, I can't find an their customer services e-mail address.

banned from what? do u mean when you started your ps3 first you put your age as 17? anyway easiets solution is cancell this psn account and make another one with your mother or fathers name and details.

im not too sure what you registered the 2 things for. so you made up a age for the psn and wat was the other one?

The one where I gave the wrong age was for the master account and subaccount thing, which is for the PSN I think and the other one is for when you go to the playstation website and register your PS3 and give your serial number and all that

ok so you registered the playstation warranty. why are you so worried for? this aint microsoft there not going to ban you. i have 3 psn accounts one for each country and there are different ages on each one. if you want to be safe just delete this psn and make another one. but thats just to be on the safe side.
also put a parents date of birth.

Ok, thank you Ali for the help, I'll see what to do, if it's not a big deal then I might just keep my current PSN account.
