    PS3 - Resistance 2 - Display Error

    Please HELP!!!!

Just recieved my copy from Littlewoods today, and i'm having the following problem, for some reason the display for this particular game is flickery, or rather there are these flickery or snowy lines that appear on the screen for the game. And they are really annoying, they render the game unplayable.

I have reconnected my HDMI cable a few times, tried various settings from video & display. 720p 1080i 1080p etc

The thing is that if i insert Pro Evo 2009 it works fine, insert GTA all is fine, but with Resistance 2 gameplay online & offline is flickery and the cut scenes are crystal clear. ODD !!!!

Is any one else having this issue?

Are you able to try it with another HDMI cable?

Or a scart to see if you still have the problem?

Apparently Resistance is prone to interference on certain brands of HDMI cable - not sure why but, I think you need to rule the cable out first. Its not a Monster brand by any chance is it?

I have tried a scart and reset all display & video settings but still get the same issue. Don't know the brand but have hdmi to dvi connected to the TV, could this be a issue as i have no hdmi socket on my TV.

All other games work including bluray, but cut scenes are fully clear on Resistance 2, but gameplay gaphics look messed up. :x

Think i might have to return as a faulty disk. :-(

One thing is certain, a replacement disk wont help.

    Why :?

Do you have a friend with PS3 who could try the game out for you?

    I doubt its the disk.

Looks like a problem with the PS3 itself. If its still in warranty I'd contact Sony.
