Pyrolitic oven cleaning system...does it actually work?

Thinking of getting a new cooker. Hate to clean the thing, so am wondering if pyrolitic ovens are any good? Does it really work or is it just a gimmic? Apparently if you use the pyrolitic cleaning setting, it will burn off all the fat and leave you with just a layer of ash to clean out?
Anyone on here have one these??

I have a NEF oven which I bought recently. I haven't yet tried the cleaning setting as I am being good and wiping it out regularly. I do think the catalytic liners are fab though. The grease and dirt doesn't stick to them and I have them on the three sides so I only have to wipe the door and floor.

Yeah, I thought about the catalytic liners, but I'm really lazy when it comes to oven cleaning so thought I'd try the pyrolitic system. Maybe I should just clean it out more regularly, but really can't be bothered.

beans on toast makes a lot of mess then?! lol
