when you are in a transaction with someone they can easily find your email, im guessing the account that you have with paypal is the one that only lets you take two payments via credit cards.

Did you request immediate payment on the buy it now option.
Maybe thats how it has happened.

Nope dont even havea clue how to set that up - i just sue my mums account to sell all my things and i was checking it and thought hey he paid by paypal how he do that

You sold it on your Mums ebay account, and it did not have Paypal as a Payment option, I'd guess he paid via your email address.
I see you put that you will accept cash, you are very lucky nobody reported that or it didn't get picked up. Your account could have been NARUd, because asking for cash is against the rules and rightly so.

I agree

Why should a seller be forced to accept Paypal, I didnt accept it at first as it is high fees.

And its too easy for a buyer to open a dispute and takes ages for Paypal to sort out.

Depends on whats sold, if its say a HD TV and seller doesnt accept Paypal then id be worried, but things like console games or maybe the odd console(Except PS3's) id say could be ok.

nobody forces people to use paypal but IMO it looks dodgy if a person who sells something does not accept paypal and has low feedback, I have seen a seller with lots of feeback 1000+ who does not accpet paypal, I would trust them

It depends on the definition, nobody forces you to use paypal but then they wont bid if you dont!

Obviously if someone is selling loads of high priced items and doesnt accept Paypal then yeah dont bi,d but say they sold a used Xbox 360 and only had about 30 positive feedbacks and no negs, all for fast payment etc took loads of pictures of item, why should they lose out for not accepting it.

We got like 750+ on our ebay and weve never taken paypal once and were not dodgy

His Mums account has nearly 800 feedback but 2 negs.
The thing is, nearly everybody accepts Paypal and the sellers that don't stand out. It costs the buyer around 35p to send a cheque, then you have the delay, a Postal Order costs the buyer even more to send.

ok but imo if you want to compete, accepting paypal is the best way as more buyers feel safe using it, I guarantee accepting paypal will increase your sales, ok fair enough about the fees but if you sell more using paypal you will make the money back from the fees ;-)

Yea I know, I never said otherwise.
I hate Paypal, it's a parasite but I use it and my fees are a naffing joke but it's makes for a quicker simpler turnaround.

Actually that was due to 2 idiots
My mum bought a top of somebody and it was supposed to be new yet it was all dirty so she left thema neg and they did te same which was unfair
Then another one my mum bought something and the person didnt send it so she elft a neg and the person did the same but as you will see the seller is no longer registered

Both account were retalitory feedback which is really unfair on our part

Yes i have my own ebay account dandoc2*** but thats jsut for me and my gaming needs i dont sell on it

Agreed, I've also been looking at Protx, but it's finding the time to implement it.
