    Question...?

Was just watching King of Queens a little while ago and this question came up, do you see 'emotional affairs' as cheating? For example if you meet up with someone without telling your OH would you see this as cheating?

Forgot to add, plus say if you're female or male as i think females seem to see it as cheating more then men but i could be wrong.

What's wrong with test-driving another car? Doesn't mean you're definitely going to scrap your old banger.

Hey hun, haven't seen you around in a while x

yes i think so........ im female!

    It depends on the situation.

If he had been friends with her for years, I wouldn't see a problem with it.

I have loads of guy friends who I will meet up with to just have a drink, and occasionaly we get somthing to eat, but most of them never tell their girlfriends where they are... and seriously nothing goes on, it's just mates.... but I know some girls take it out of context.

Yes i would if she didnt tell.

think its more about the not telling part, if your partner is doing it behind your back then they are cheating on you, whether anything is going on or not

Ask McGrath of Barrow in Furness.
She knows more about cheating than you will even need to know.

+1 if there's nothing to hide, there shouldn't be a reason not to tell.

Maybe they're worried that you'll go crazy because you're mentally unstable?

Nah this isn't cheating, but I can see how women would think it was. Think of it like this, if you met up with a person of the same sex would it still be classed as cheating (keeping in mind that today a relationship with either sex is equally possible)

From a woman's perspective, your OH getting involved with someone emotionally is even worse than him having a sexual affair. Men can have sex with a woman and it mean absolutely nothing, so being involved emotionally is cheating in the worse possible way IMO

Note to my OH... You would lose body parts for either dear... xxxx

    lol

I think most women think that. Lol +1!

Yep i'd class it as cheating very much so....

    female ( of course )

    emotional attachments are definitely cheating.

If you wouldn't feel comfortable doing or saying something within your hubby/wife's eyesight or earshot then it's cheating.

    lol! how awful you are

It's not quite cheating but why do you need to meet up with someone and not tell your partner?

If it's something innocent, then it wouldn't need to be hidden but at the end of the day, they'll probably view it as: I don't see why I need to tell you...it was nothing.
Then again, it could be something and that's why they're keeping it a secret.

At the end of the day, trust is something important in a relationship and if someone cheats after they put faith in you, then they really need to change before it's too late, otherwise they'll never have a happy relationship.
