question about onestopphoneshop 12months free deals.

    Hi,

Are there extra catches on these deals or something? I'm looking to take out a new contract and I don't really understand why anyone would go for an 11 months free 400mins 500txts, when there are 12 months free 800mins 500txts. Is it solely down to the phone, because there isn't much difference between them, or do they just hope that people wont claim?

Making claims can be very hard and they will try it on all the time. There are lots of tips about deals like this on the net and on here i think.
a tip from me ALWAYS SEND BY RECORDED DELIVERY

You have to be pretty deligent about it all to make it work. I got horrendously confused and only managed to get one cashback installment.

I wouldn't ever bother again, but there are plenty of people on here that manage it.

All of these cashback deals are legitimate with no dodgy catches, they just make it difficult. The trick is to give you a short space of time to redeem and meke you redeem several times.

Yes, it can be tricky, but for a free phone and all of those minutes it's very rewarding if you're organised enough to pull it off.

It may sound daunting, but I've made an advice list which is really comprehensive and if you stick to it then you're almost certain to get your money back:

    Hope that helps!!

Thanks for the replies. I've actually done a 9 months free on a 12 month contract with OSPS before, it went ok but I only had 3 claims and pretty big windows in which I could claim in. 12 months free, with that many mins and txts just seems like I'm asking for trouble so I figured I'd double check here to be sure, lol.

It shouldn't be any more difficult, just stay on top of things.

ok my final cheque from my previous deal arrived today.

I am about to bite on another deal but seem to remember people warning about price match contracts? I have looked at the T&C's but can't seem to see any difference? could someone shed some light on the situation is possible? thanks

'Pricematch' deals are different, previous deals meant that if you missed one payment, you only forfeited that particular claim.

'Pricematch' means that you lose the ability to obtain any money.
Their defintion of 'Pricematch' has nothing to do with 'matching a price' as one would expect, just plagiarising t's & c's from their competitors.

They did not write the t's & c's, so do not know how they work, and you will be given contradictory advice by the CS reps.

I heard that they now have a premium rate number to contact them, whether this is true or not, I don't know.

I see, thanks for the info. Now I'm in two minds about going for a 12 month free price match or a 11 months free non price match. I don't plan on missing any deals but who knows what will happen 10 or so months down the line.
